Technology is Enhancing our Lives
We use technology in everyday tasks. We are on our phones to communicate with friends,family, and watch videos for our own entertainment. Technology is such an asset in today’s society. The internet can be used to share pictures with friends, help us answer questions about specific topics, give us directions to certain places, and so much more. Even though social media is so useful, some may argue that we are over using technology.
Since the introduction of social media we have become more creative. For example, human kind is striving to bettering themselves with the creation of Artificial Intelligence. Not only have we created tiny little robots that listen to our every command, but we are now in the process of creating humanoids that can have basic conversations. We have accomplished so much with technology, such as sending men to the moon to rockets launching and returning back to earth on their own. Technology has allowed us to inventing safe medical procedures using robots and smart refrigerators that communicates what is needed. Not to mention, the increase in battery infused cars which are not only swifter and safer, but they don’t affect the environment as much. With that being said, time dedicated to the internet has opened our minds to many new forms of interest as well as information. The internet is home to an abundance of information that could be useful in daily lives. An example would be, as students we use the internet to help us with homework, but back in the day people had to physically go to the library and seek information. Also, we have apps that help us with our organization, stress, and general entertainment. Social media has tips and tricks to improve our lives. We are introduced to ways to keep us lean and fit by having real time information on what we’re eating.
Not to mention our economy has increased due to the major industries that supply internet. On June 6, 2018 according to Forbes, “ the company Apple saw 247.5 billion in sales, 53 billion in profit, 367.5 billion in assets and 927 billion for the past year. Apple also ranked #1 last month on our list of America”. Throughout the years there has been a demand for more instruments used to access the internet. Such as phones, computers, IPads, IPods, and Apple watches. Thus technology is enhancing our lives in so many ways and continues to push the boundaries of our imagination.
